Starting as an apprentice, Jay advanced to Front-line Supervisor and Manager, to General Manager of machine shops and fabrication facilities.  Now, as President, Jay applies his years of experience as the leader of the G&R Metals team. 

Tom Desper

QA Inspector

Years of Experience: over 40

Hobbies: dining out with my wife, watching NASCAR and local racing

With over forty years in the metal-working industry, Tom's savvy and expertise assures our customers are getting a quality product.

Chris Ardler

Senior Project Manager

Years of Experience: over 50

Hobbies: SCUBA diving and golf

With experience including Material Manager, General Manager, Sales Engineer and Estimating Planning, G&R customers benefit greatly from Chris' skill in meeting their fabrication needs.

 
William "Buck" Sykes

Estimator/Planner

Years of Experience: over 30

Hobbies: church and fishing

Buck's experience includes structural fabrication and repair, optical alignment with geodetic and waterborne applications, patented burning applications, writing and interpreting weld procedures, certification for Level II visual weld inspection

William "Ed" Amick

Fabrication Manager

Years of Experience: over 45

Hobbies: clearing property and watching NASCAR and football

With experience that includes Master Craftsman, Lead Man, Shop Foreman and Production Manager, Ed’s primary responsibility is managing G&R's fabrication production.

Dave Obert

Machine Shop Manager

Years of Experience: over 35

Hobbies: family time and football

Dave leans on many years of experience in a manufacturing environment, and has extensive knowledge of CNC machine tools and programming.  His experience and knowledge result in top-quality parts that meet customer criteria and satisfaction.

Eric VanDusen

Nightshift Supervisor

Years of Experience: over 20

Hobbies: mountain biking, golf and family time

Eric’s experience leans well in meeting the needs of our customers. Eric’s primary responsibility is overseeing our second-shift operation.

Sarah Bruce

Vice President

Years of Experience: 4 years

Hobbies: spending time with family and friends, golf, housekeeping, and playing outdoors with my kids.

With experience in public accounting, Sarah is knowledgeable in many aspects of accounting, finance and office administration.  Sarah is available to customers and vendors to assist in meeting their A/R and A/P needs.

Tracy Hainsey

Administrative Assistant

Years of Experience: over 20

Hobbies: family time, fishing, football "Go Steelers" and computer

With administrative and customer service experience with various manufacturing, human resource and communication companies, Tracy supplies the support needed for Project Managers and production, assists with purchasing, data entry, shipping/receiving and many other tasks.
